-- Everybody tried to improve on the '65 Pontiac. We did ... and what we wound up with (and nobody else even came close to) was a new improved version of the success car of the year. Same Wide-Track ride -- only smoother ... In fact, we even introduced three new Broughams, four new Venturas and a new Star Chief Executive hardtop coupe in the belief that the world can always use more of a good thing ... The tiger scores again! ... (advertisement appeared in print in October, 1965) --
