VINTAGE HANDPAINTED HANDCARVED WOODEN FIREBIRD OPEN SALT DISH FROM RUSSIA
In Russia they are called firebirds. In old times they were used as drinking vessels for water or beer called 'ladle'.
In a family I got it from it had been used in a kitchen by the stove to keep salt for cooking handy.
Measures about 5" x 3" deep.
Good used vintage condition.
