Vintage Asian (Japanese) Lacquered Jewelry Music Box
Beautiful black and brown/red lacquered design of ships, Mt. Fuji and Landscape of trees and water
Painted on top, front and sides.
Mirror inside hinged lid is painted with Woman and Flowers
Compartments for rings, bracelets, etc., with lids and orange colored tassel pulls
Lined in blue velvet
Plays delightful Asian shamisen music
Wind up mechanism for music
Dimensions 7 1/4" H x 5" W x 4 1/4 H
Slight curve to top
Only mark is very small pinhole nick on back (see photo 5, bottom)
Metal keyhole with Asian design engraving, no key
Marked "Made in Japan"
