For Jetted Bathtubs
Fill the tub a few inches over the top jet(s), usually 6-8” from the top of the tub. You can use cold,warm or hot water. It doesn’t matter! Add a little less than one level teaspoon to the water. Turn on the pump so the jets are operating. In minutes the water will become a little foamy, this is normal. Keep the jets on for 5‐10 minutes when you clean the tub for the first time. You will now see a brown and black froth appear on the water foam surface. This is the gunk coming out of the plumbing surfaces and the gunk on the tub shell you didn’t know was there. Now, simply drain the water from the tub. Our product is septic tank safe. This wastewater you are draining will also help to clean the plumbing lines going to your septic or sewer system. Future cleanings will only take 5 minutes or so since the initial cleaning purged the tub of the macro materials that were building up for years or months.
For Spas & Hot Tubs
It is best to use our product just prior to you dumping the water. Typically, spa & hot tub owners change their water every 2‐3 months. This product will degunk the plumbing and clean the shell quickly and effectively.
Follow the same instructions as for Jetted Tubs except that we recommend that you use a full level tablespoon for most spas. Drain the discolored water, rinse and wipe the shell clean and hose off filter cartridge(s). This product has a “dual benefit”. If you wish to reduce chemicals on an ongoing basis you can add ½-1 teaspoon of gel to spa or hot tub water weekly. This will drastically reduce the amount of chlorine, bromine, Nature2 or Frog you may be using. Water quality is better and water will feel softer and silkier. this product serves a “Dual Purpose”.
