Vintage hand thrown art studio pottery plate. Has a single flower in the center with a leaf(?) border design & a white band around the edge. Raised rectangle on the rim reads, "L.A. Breakfast Club 1937" in raised letters. Depressed mark on the back side reads, "Compliments Aztec Art Studios" inside a circle. This item is in vintage condition & it does show some wear, but it's in very good shape for a 75 year old plate.
Has a couple chips on the bottom edge (front side), some wear to the paint (heavy wear to the white band along the top edge) & some minor crazing of the glaze. There is also a flaw in the bottom, left of the rectangle area (below the "L.A."), but I can't tell if this is a damaged spot or if it happened when the plate was made. The bottom edge of the plate has a crack, approximately 1-1/2" long, that can be seen on both sides, but the whole areas seems very sturdy (I don't know if it's cracked all the way through, or not, but I am guessing not). Measures about 8-1/2" in diameter.
