Description

For sale is a ANTIQUE J.K. STEVENS ART STUDIO PORTRAIT PHOTO OF A BOY IN A SUIT CDV / CABINET CARD. This item is in excellent condition. It is mounted on a 6-1/2" by 4-3/16" heavy card stock with deckled edges. The card has a very ornate design on the backside ( see photo ). Someone has written the name GIBSON HARRIS in pencil on the back side. I do not know if this portrait is of this person. But, it would be a good guess that it is the person in the photo. This item was produced by J.K. STEVENS ART STUDIO of Chicago. They were located in the McVickers Theatre Building. The card stock has a very slight side to side upward bend to it. Otherwise it is in near perfect shape for a paper item that is well over 100 years old. This piece is probably from the 1870's to about 1890's. It is in great looking shape and it really displays very well.
