This black satin evening bag is so nearly perfect. Just the fact it is vintage and not packaged prevents me from calling it mint.
The satin is gathered onto a gold tone frame that has a bar of faux tortoise on the front side and a gold kiss closure. The bag has a shortish satin shoulder strap that does not detach or adjust.
The inside is lined in black and bronze rayon with a mirror pocket in one wall that is large enough to hold a compact or a cell phone.
The bag is 6.5 x 8.5 inches and the strap is 28 inches. It has no label or signature but looks to be from the 1940s. It doesn't appear to have been carried.
