Stunning vintage magazine cover artwork illustration that was pasted in a scrapbook.
Great image of a beautiful frontal face image of a hunting dog, a Spaniel (?), holding a red cap.
ARTIST SIGNED in lower left hand corner: JACK MURRAY.
Colors very vibrant as shown. Very good condition for a magazine cover. Some minor wave of paper and creasing. Please note that at the very top it was cutout around the dogs head, so is not a straight edge. (You can see the back scrapbook paper on both sides of head.)
(These days your local craft shop or framers can create a custom matte that will look great framed up.
On the backside is a cute picture of three children enjoying ice cream cones. The boy at the bottom is holding a dog that is trying to taste his cone. Sweet. Artist: CUSHMAN PARKER.
The illustration measures 9-1/2 inches wide by 9-1/8 inches high, 11-7/8 inches high to top of his head.
