It sews straight and true. It's easy to use. There are many stitches available and they sew out beautifully. Every one else seems to have issues with winding the bobbin, but tho it is a little awkward to see when the bobbin is full I find it very easy to wind. If for some reason it doesn't start winding correctly, you can tell immediately because it doesn't "sound" quite right. I carry this machine with me to classes and groups and it just keeps chugging along. Knock on wood, I've never had a moments problem with it. Would I recommend this machine? Absolutely!This Singer is heavier than some of the other Singer models. I love all the stitches, including alphabet so I can make quilt labels or monograms. I especially like the choice of "Needle Up/Down", which is missing in the Singer Ingenuity. The foot pedal is smoother than the Ingenuity as well. There are so many decorative stitches to choose from, which keeps it more interesting for me. I make loads of quilts for kids, so I topstitch all seams to make them sturdier.I like the screen that makes the computer easier to use. The feed is more even and closer to Pfaff's IDT than my Brother CS6000T was. This Singer seems to be heavy-duty enough that I won't kill it in less than a year.
