The shorts are classic cargo style from Faded Glory and are a size 8, as is the fleece. I would say these both run large, as my son is 10 - almost 11 and they both fit him now. He's on the slim side, though. Both pieces are free from tears, stains or other issues. I believe the fleece was worn 2 times and the shorts 2-3 times.
