Price & Kensington Whimsical Caged Parrot Teapot

A fanciful (and heavy) pottery teapot from England in the shape of a beribboned cage with an amusing (or perhaps amused) Parrot on each side. The teapot measures 7.75" tall to the top of the lid, 8.5" in length from spout to handle and is 4.5" in diameter at the base. The 'pot is in great condition, with nary a chip or crack and still retains its original "Price Kensington England" paper label on the side. The bottom is also marked "Made in England, P&K, which is embossed into the pottery and also has the Price Kensington logo. Although I can't date this teapot exactly (they have been using this logo since 1963) I CAN tell you that the Arthur Wood Group (who owned P&K Potteries) went out of business in 2003. A colorful container for display or use with the most wonderful of companions on each side. You'll love it, we're sure!
