Marked on both forks Sterling Silver. Clean but not polished.

Scrimshawed Mammoth Ivory handles: 2 1/2" long x 5/8" wide x 3/16" deep

Both Scrimshaw are Artist signed but right now is so small I can not make out the name with out a strong magnifier! Alaskan Inuit, Eskimo made.

Vintage Scrimshaw on authentic Alaskan Mammoth Ivory. Created sometime between 1900 - 1960. The making and selling of all fossil creations are one of the only ways Native Communities have to make extra money to live on and are very important part of their lives. Collecting the raw materials around old villages, in old garbage pits and along the beaches. The Ancient Ivories from animals long dead is recycled into many beautiful pieces of Art and useful items.

Part of my personal collection, which I am slowly selling, a few pieces, to help with my sons College education.
