Montgomery Ward Airline Speakers RARE & VINTAGE!
A unique find! I use words like "rare" very sparingly, but these truly are!If you are a collector looking for a nice set of airline speakers, the search is over!
This is a matching set of Montgomery Ward Airline speakers Speaker system E985968 ohm impedance.
I am making an educated guess they are about 30 watts each.they appear to have a frequency range from about 60hz to 16khz
Amazingly, the chrome legs have all of the plastic/rubber feet, and are not worn off bad. the chrome legs have some scuffs and scratches.The black covering ( it's something like tolex, not sure what it is) is in excellent condition,with very minor blemishes.see the pictures. the Tolex only covers the top,sides and bottom, and stops at the back edge of the speaker, the wood is not covered on the back. this is not damage, they were made this way. if you want that black also, you could rub it with shoe polish, I have left that for you to decide.
The grills are perfect.they sound excellent with no buzzes or rattles. a nice mellow vintage sound!
they are 25" high,(including legs) 12" wide and 8.5 deep
Overall these nice vintage speakers are in great condition!
