These parallel action Flat and Half Round Nose pliers act as a hand-held vice. They are ideal for holding, forming or forging shapes of wire or metal sheets.

The compound-action handles are coupled to jaws that remain parallel along the entire length of the jaws throughout their range of movement. This ensures a secure grip on the article being held, even when working with difficult to hold items such as round beads.

Unlike typical Flat and Half Round Nose pliers, which open up to the shape of a “V”, this parallel action Flat and Half Round Nose pliers have parallel jaws that act as a square vice grips.

If you put a square piece of metal in typical pliers and squeeze down, you're only holding part of the two edges.

But if you hold the same piece in these pliers, it's basically like using a mini press-you have a secure grip on both edges.
