This is an exceptional piece from Dansk International Designs Ltd. It is made of a gray clay with a design painted in blue and brown and a clear glaze. It was produced in Japan with the Japanese style design. It is a large piece measuring 14 inches across the diagonal and 12 inches side to side.
The design is interesting. Turned one way I see a poodle scratching at the door. Turned another way I see a fat little bird on a perch or a wading bird standing on one leg. This is a great display piece either standing on a shelf or placed in the center of your table. It is a heavy piece and will weigh five pounds packed, but well worth it if you are a Dansk collector.
