Vintage Hand Painted Limoges D.T. Decor Main Egg Shaped Lidded Trinket Box Gilt Pink Floral
> Exquisite, small pink Limoges egg shaped lidded trinket box or ring box
> Has a domed lid and a flat bottomed under piece, perfect for holding tiny treasures like earrings or rings
> Made of porcelain that is partially white and partially pink with a colorful hand painted floral design trimmed in gilt
> Opens to reveal tiny handpainted pink and red roses on the inside of the upper lid and the base bottom
> Underside is singed, hand painted in gilt cursive lettering, and what we can read says: "D.T. decor main Limoges E ___ "
> Piece has gold painted metal bands around the upper and lower center rims which meet at the back at the hinge, and in the front have a tiny flower shaped thumb lift
> Piece measures about 2 inches long and 1.5 inches tall
> Weighs 1.3 ounces
CONDITION: Porcelain has no cracks or chips, and the paint and gilt are still vivid and colorful. Hinge opens and closes smoothly. The gold painted metal trim bands have developed green and brown corrosion on them, heaviest on the inside rear areas at the junction of the upper and lower lid bands. The gold paint on the metal trim bands and hinge has worn off in areas.
