-What is a copybon?-
A copybon is basically a photocopied book or 'copy book' that the author assembles themselves with normal paper. Rather than showing up empty-handed at the upcoming event, they produce these copy books to either test the waters or just to have something new to tide their fans over until the next release. Perhaps they were unable to meet the deadline or the content was too controversial for a publisher to print. Once sold out at events (doujin shops won't accept these for sale), they are extremely difficult to find due to the limited quantity of copies produced. Depending on the circle, they may even fetch more than a regular doujinshi.
