This gemstone is called Fossil Turtella Shell Agate and it makes a stunning display as a pendant. It has gorgeous muted colors, including gold, blue, brown, grey, black and almond. As you can see in the photos,
it is semi-translucent. Very cool.

Agate is the oldest stone in recorded history and has been used in jewelry since Biblical Babylonian times. Agates were used to ward off storms and were prized gems in antiquity.
