Hirudoid Gel can be used to treat superficial phlebitis and thrombosis of the veins, inflammation of varicose veins, after-treatment of sclerosed varices, general treatment of the veins (prevention of phlebitis), haematomata, swellings, softening of hard scars, improve formation of scars.
Benefits:
• Relieve inflammation
• Reduce bruises and swelling
• Relieve pain and tension in affected region
• Pleasant, soothing and cooling effect
Ingredients:
Mucopolysaccharid. Polysulf. (Organo-Heparinoid and Luitpold) 0.3g, Excip. ad 100g
Directions of Use:
* Unless the doctor prescribes otherwise, a ribbon of Hirudoid about 3 to 5 cm in length (if necessary even more) is applied to the affected part once or twice daily and made to enter the skin by slight friction till the cream has disappeared.
* In very painful inflammations and thrombosis, the affected area and its vicinity must carefully be spread over with Hirudoid and covered with a piece of linen soaked with it.
* To intensify its effect, Hirudoid should be rubbed into the further vicinity of the affected area.
* To loosen hard scars, the cream is massaged vigorously into them.
* Avoid contact with open wounds, eyes or mucous membranes.
Cautions:
* For external application.
* Do not freeze but store below 30 Degrees Celsius.
* Keep out of reach of children.
* In single cases local skin irritations or allergies can occur.
