Tino Lauri silk scarf bold colors tropical graphic rolled hem preowned ll3140

This is a great silk scarf for the non timid woman who likes considerable flair in her wardrobe. The scarf was made in Japan for Tino Lauri and is signed and has fabric tag attached. It has tightly hand rolled hem. The scarf is 32 inches square. The fabric is crepe de chine silk. Very nice for draping around the neck.

The motif is very large tropical foliage, loosely drawn. The colors are bright yellow to tan, almost glittering turquoise, olive, brown and black. There is a bit of off white (almost a powdery taupe) around the border.

Condition is an issue. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. If you intend to fold the yellow under to make a triangle for your head or neck, The scarf will appear as perfect. No holes or wear spots. It looks unused.

HOWEVER if you want the yellow to show, therein lies the problem. It looks like someone attempted to wash the scarf and some of the dark color ran into the edges of the yellow. I have tried to show this in the photos. The scarf could have been worn in the rain or it could have been handled by someone with wet fingers. A trusted dry cleaner may be able to remove the spots. I prefer to sell the scarf at a great discount and let you deal with it. I would not attempt to hand launder this scarf. The scarf is clean. Make sure you enlarge the photos so you can better judge the issues.
