Vintage Romanian peasant wide trousers ( gaci ) originated from Northern Transylvania , Maramures . They are made of hand woven in hemp cloth . The lenght of these type of trousers must be between knee and ankle and are worn with boots or leather sandals and wool socks .The trousers are tied around the waist and on the lower hemthey are decorated with fringes madeby the warp thread .
Age : about 50-60 years old
Condition : minor traces of the wear ,very slightly used .Few stains that I captured in my photos . The colour is a pale cream ( beige ) the natural colour of hemp-linen fabric.
Size :S may be M size ,please check the measurements :
Around waist : no more of 160 cm or 63 inches ( the trousers are adjusted around waist with tie string ) ;
length :70 cm or 27.5 inches ( from waist to the lower edge ) ;
distance from the waistband to the crotch :21 cm or 8.26 inches.
