This annual Christmas collector plate was made in Germany by Hutschenreuther exclusively for C. E. Sorvin Ltd. in Victoria, BC, Canada. It is for the year 1981 and is called Saskatchewan Winter. The artist was Merill Peck.
The plate is porcelain, 8 inches in diameter and decorated in the traditional blue on white. It has a factory applied hook on the back for hanging and is in perfect condition. It does not come with the original box. It is numbered on the back 32.
The scene is rather desolate showing Saskatchewan grain elevators behind a rather rickety fence. What looks like a howling wolf or coyote stands at a break in the fence. It is a night scene with a sky full of stars.
