Publisher: London Collins 1947 Copyright, believed to be first edition. Three b/w plates by Margaret Horder. Blue cloth hardcover, with silver decorations & titles, in very good condition, no dustjacket. Cover has minor wear, corner bumping and wear, and light spotting to covers. Page edges also have light soiling/age yellowing. Spine is somewhat faded. Interior pages are clean & tight, perhaps a couple small spots. Binding can be seen slightly at two spots. There is a presentation plate on first endpage, as well as some light soiling. All in all, a nice tight copy of this popular book. 256 pages. 8vo (7 1/2" tall).
