A selection of stories and poems written in and out of creative writing classes. There are stories of the people that made Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) the wonderful place that it is today. John grew up during the Great Depression, when two bits was a great deal of money and a shin plaster was all you needed for a great meal. After serving in the military in the second world war, John returned to Edmonton and joined the police force. His experiences gave him an interesting perspective as he watched Edmonton evolve into a metropolis.
