Bayonet shaped nose pads. Otherwise known as Zeiss Pads. These are a special application nose pad because of the way this nose pad is mounted.
The Zeiss pad is mounted onto a thin metal rod through a hole in the top of the nose pad. Other names for these are Plug-in.
They are available in two different sizes. The 17 mm and the 20 mm sizes. The only material these come in is the silicone material.
The Zeiss pads shown here are the 20 mm size.
How will you know if these are the right ones?
Check the frame, Does your eyeglass frame have a nose pad already that is identical to this one. Even if the pads are missing, does the point where the nose pad should be have a thin rod or flat piece? If so, Then these will work.
Q; what is the right size for me, the 17 or 20 mm?
A: Size is dependant on how much nose pad you want supporting your eyeglass frame on your face. Every eyeglass frame that supports this mount, is made exactly the same. There is no difference from frame to frame(where the nose pad is mounted). The nose pads fit the same way, one is just longer than the other.
Reminder: As with any nose pad order, make sure the mount of the eyeglass frame matches the listing,in order for you to receive the right nose pad for you. Size and material are personal preferences.
