'Elphaba' green was named by my daughter Grace for the witch in the currently-popular Broadway play, 'Wicked'. I guess this witch has a green face, and I guess this play just 'changed my daughter's life', as only a 14-year-old can claim! When this color is still named 'Elphaba' 20 years from now, my Grace will look at it and remember what a passion she had for that play.
Anyway, this is a great yellow-green with many uses for the rug hooker. With 90% yellow, it is quite light, but not overly bright, in comparison to the modern and vibrant colors. It is a lovely olive shade, but only politely so--olive greens can get either drab or a little garish, and this one has just enough red to keep it in the country colors without making it too drab.
NOTE: In general, use the individual color image as your guide. I have devoted many, many hours to adjusting the images to match the actual wool color, but the usual disclaimers (about colors appearing different on different monitors) apply.
HOW TO ORDER
The standard minimum size available at Ram in the Thicket is a 3" X 18" increment, and each of those represents one "item". So from each listing, order the total number of increments of that color you would like. If you order more than one 'item' of any color, I will send it out as one large piece.
