Vergennes is Vermont's oldest city, and is named after Charles Gravier, the Comte de Vergennes who was the French Minister of Foreign Affairs and negotiator of the Treaty of Paris, which formally ended the Revolutionary War.
'Vergennes' is a lovely, warm, olive-y green that begins to take us out of the realm of darker, duller greens, and into the bright and very yellow greens, that can be seen in abundance in the modern and vibrant color families. With 80% yellow, it is moderately bright, but 5% red (a fair amount of red for a yellow-green) reins it in nicely, keeping it appropriately soft for the country greens. This is one of the most requested greens in the collection, and a personal favorite.
NOTE: In general, use the individual color image as your guide. I have devoted many, many hours to adjusting the images to match the actual wool color, but the usual disclaimers (about colors appearing different on different monitors) apply.
HOW TO ORDER
The standard minimum size available at Ram in the Thicket is a 3" X 18" increment, and each of those represents one "item". So from each listing, order the total number of increments of that color you would like. If you order more than one 'item' of any color, I will send it out as one large piece.
