"Wailing Wall" is a brown with only 55% yellow, so it is at the bottom of the range, in terms of brightness. It is quite cool, with a faint suggestion of purple undertones, although nothing obvious. It is generally neutral.
A WORD ABOUT BROWNS
The best browns are produced using 50-70% yellow and varying combinations of blue and red to round out the formula. So you will see a good range of brown shades, plus some that have less yellow, and so have more 'purple' or 'green' or 'orange' in them, as the two other primaries begin to overpower the yellow. There may be some browns in my collection that you would not consider "brown" per se, but placed next to the nearest neighbor, you would see that they are clearly very brown. Also, the lighter values will sometimes not seem very brown, but they still belong within their color grouping and will shade nicely with the darker values when used as a swatch.
NOTE: In general, use the individual color image as your guide. I have devoted many, many hours to adjusting the images to match the actual wool color, but the usual disclaimers (about colors appearing different on different monitors) apply.
HOW TO ORDER
The standard minimum size available at Ram in the Thicket is a 3" X 18" increment, and each of those represents one "item". So from each listing, order the total number of increments of that color you would like. If you order more than one 'item' of any color, I will send it out as one large piece.
