As the ferns in the forests of New England emerge from the ground in the spring and begin to unfurl their fronds, they resemble a "fiddlehead" and are harvested and sold as a vegetable in local stores. They are a soft, warm woodland green, a shade evoked by this color. "Fiddlehead" green is one of the great mainstay primitive greens. The perfect amount of yellow makes this a lovely warm shade, and the deeper values are a pleasant, soft olive green. The lighter values are grassy and very useful for leaves and other vegetation, without being too garishly yellow. A great all-around primitive green.
NOTE: In general, use the individual color image as your guide. I have devoted many, many hours to adjusting the images to match the actual wool color, but the usual disclaimers (about colors appearing different on different monitors) apply.
HOW TO ORDER
The standard minimum size available at Ram in the Thicket is a 3" X 18" increment, and each of those represents one "item". So from each listing, order the total number of increments of that color you would like. If you order more than one 'item' of any color, I will send it out as one large piece.
