Here is a khukuri that is handcrafted in the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal. It is the one issued to the Royal Nepalise army. It's slightly smaller than the one that is issued to the British Gurkha regiments. It is the same as the one issued to the Nepalise Police but has a water buffalo horn handle.
It has a HIGHLY GRADED carbon steel blade which is strong enough to cut wood or bone! The handle is made from water buffalo horn. It has a full tang which means the metal of the blade fully goes through the handle for maximum strength. The craftsmanship on this knife is amazing so if you are looking for the finest quality khukuri you will not be dissapointed!
This khukuri also includes 2 smaller knifes in the scabbard. A "Karda" which is used as a small utility knife. Also a "Chakmak" which is used to sharpen the knife. They also have water buffalo horn handles on them.
A solid wood display stand is included FREE with this purchase. It is made from beautiful rosewood. A knife like this deserves to be on display and not sitting in a drawer!
This model is personally imported from Nepal and is the finest quality khukuri you will find anywhere! It is made by the OFFICIAL supplier to the British Gurkha regiments who insist of using the finest quality available. They use the best skilled Kami Biswokarmas (Master Craftsmen) to hand produce each knife. ON AVERAGE IT TAKES 4 CRAFTSMEN 1 FULL DAY TO HANDCRAFT EACH KHUKURI!!
This knife comes wrapped in high quality handmade lokta paper. The paper is eco-friendly and made from the bark of the Daphne cannabina/papyracca tree.
