Follows the political career of William Tweed, aka "Boss" Tweed, who basically used his position to launder money and take advantage of others in one of the biggest political scandals of all time.
All of that is laid bare by author Denis Tilden Lynch. This book, in its third printing from 1927, is in acceptable condition. There is no dustjacket, so the cover has some shelf wear, but it is still quite intact. There's some pencil drawings on the free endpaper and title page, but once the actual text starts in, the book is free from marks and creases. Strong yellowing to the pages, which can be expected for a book approaching 90 years old. Still, a nice readable copy.
