This second volume of the "Secret Diary of Harold L Ickes" series, starts with "his story of the New Deal from the 1936 election, and carries on through the outbreak of war in Europe in September, 1939" (plagiarized from the inside of the book).
It was a former library copy, so there are library markings throughout, including on the spine and the first couple pages (including the title page). Once the book starts, there's very little on the individual pages, save for a dark brown stain on the corner of one (where there is no text) and what looks like a greasy finger mark on another (again, nowhere near the text). Outside of that, there are no other markings. Pages only seem to be slightly yellowed and in great shape. Cover is dusty and dirty, but not torn or damaged in any way. No dust jacket.
