Stic-Tite Gold Plated Spectacles Circa 1890 with Case
These 12K gold plated spectacles are marked "Stic-Tite" and date from about 1890. One lens has a hole for a small chain, which was usually attached to a long hairpin. The lens without the hole has a tiny 1.5mm nick on the outer edge and a 2mm nick on the inner edge by the nose, neither of which would affect one's vision. These spectacles come with their original case! It's leatherette over metal with a nice cowhide or suede lining. Most of the leatherette is missing; on a part of it is printed in gold lettering, "Phil Seewald, Jeweler & Optician /Hudson, Mich."(#34556-R+)
