This is one of the most magnificent Kramer brooches I've seen. It is done in a domed shape beginning with large baguette rhinestones on the bottom in a star shape, marquise rhinestones on the next level spaced between the baguettes. The huge center chaton cut rhinestone forms the center of the star made by the marquise.
It measures 1-1/2" in diameter and over 3/4" (13/16") in height. It is signed on the back with a cartouche "Kramer of New York". This came from an estate where some of the jewelry dated back to the 20's/30's but this piece is probably from the 50's or later (opinions differ as to when and how long this mark was used).
It is in excellent vintage condition...all the rhinestones are prong set and well mounted. Rhodium plated mounting is clean and bright. It has a nice heft to it, a substantial weight.
The listing next to this one is for a pair of rhinestone pins, smaller than this piece but so very similar. I'm including a "together" picture in each listing to show how compatible they are.
This is a piece that definitely has an important look about it. It will make a stunning addition to any outfit.
