I can't believe this pattern is actuall from the 1940's....It only goes to prove the adage that styles are circular. What was once old is now new.
The pattern is from Butterick and is #4055. The pattern features 3 different Bra Tops....all smart sun fashion to wear with slacks shorts or skirts. One style ties in a bow at the back. Another is a button back bra top that has a horseshoe neckline. The third has a cap sleeve and is subtly slit in the back.
Pattern size is 34" Bust. Fabric requirements: 35" Wide fabric = 1 1/2 yds for the capped sleeve top and for 39"wide fabric = 1 3/8 yds.
Pattern tissue is unmarked. Pattern appears to be uncut; although I am not 100% certain. Pattern sleeve is clean with discolaration around the edges. The bottom of the sleeve is split open. All pattern pieces are present
