This is a tiny trembler pin probably once part of a scatter pin set. (It is only 1.25 inches from top to bottom.) The pin is made of gold tone pot metal (not sure there is such a thing but that is my best guess) that has been painted in shades of light and dark pink with slightly orchid tinges.
The pin has tiny rhinestones and faux pearls decorating the petals. The bell of the orchid is hinged and moves slightly. It has a larger pearl inside and four rhinestones at the lip.
On the back is a safety clasp and a signature (I) which I can find no reference to. The safety clasp is part of the mold. Otherwise I would have thought it a replacement and that the pin predated the safety clasp. The pin looks and feels like it is quite old. In great condition however. It would be a great addition to an orchid lover/grower's collection.
