This silk scarf is meant to be tied at the collar like a bow tie I think. I have never seen a scarf this shape before. It is from Oscar de la Renta and is a teal blue printed with pansies and grasses with zig-zagged rows of ochre and white at the self fringed ends. The scarf is shaped, narrow where it would fit around the neck and wide where the ends would hang from the knot or bow.
It is 38 inches long and the width is from 3.5 to 11 inches at the ends. It is in excellent vintage condition. A small pin hole where the seller had a price tag that only show when held to the light. No sign this has been used otherwise.
