"Jeanne d'Arc" (it is pronounced "zhun-dark" and is French for Joan of Arc) is my favorite primitive red and so is named after my mother. Her given name (coming from a proper French Canadian Catholic family) was Jeanne'd'Arc Irene Lorraine Dupuis. When she came to the States she shortened it all to Lorraine Jean. My sister and I have Jean as our middle name, and when I named our middle child Grace, I restored the original spelling of Jeanne for her middle name. But I digress!
This red has the most red in its formula, so is the brightest of the primitive reds, and has a pleasing cherry tint.
NOTE: In general, use the individual color image as your guide. I have devoted many, many hours to adjusting the images to match the actual wool color, but the usual disclaimers (about colors appearing different on different monitors) apply.
HOW TO ORDER
The standard minimum size available at Ram in the Thicket is a 3" X 18" increment, and each of those represents one "item". So from each listing, order the total number of increments of that color you would like. If you order more than one 'item' of any color, I will send it out as one large piece.
