This poor color has bounced around among three color families as I organized all the colors -- blue, green and grey. When placed next to grey, it is too blue, when placed next to blue it is too green, and when placed next to green it is too grey. Although it ended up in the primitive blues for now, after working with larger pieces, it seems clear to me, finally, that it belongs in the primitive greens, where it will end up eventually. It is the color of our slate roof, which I chose particularly for its ambiguous color, so that it might blend with a variety of colors on the siding. The darkest value of Slate Roof is a dark forest green. Values 3,4 and 5, like Tweed, are very soft and pleasant to look at.
NOTE: In general, use the individual color image as your guide. I have devoted many, many hours to adjusting the images to match the actual wool color, but the usual disclaimers (about colors appearing different on different monitors) apply.
HOW TO ORDER
The standard minimum size available at Ram in the Thicket is a 3" X 18" increment, and each of those represents one "item". So from each listing, order the total number of increments of that color you would like. If you order more than one 'item' of any color, I will send it out as one large piece.
