When the ship with supplies arrived, at last there was a suprise better than any Elin could have ever made up.

Marguerite de Angeli, (1889- 1987), American author, illustrator, who wrote 30 childrens books during the course of her career, along with a number of other works. Many of her books depict life of immigrant children and their families.
