These are two interesting, decorative wood carvings, very brightly painted. They are carved very well in a primitive style, and depict two cheerful, summertime "bee buzzings".
The true colors used are a rich kelly-green, really-red red, soft yellow and orange on a light brown background -- not quite as eye-numbing as the above photos, but close. They are nicely varnished to a high gloss by the artist.
The carvings are approximately 6" x 6" square, and 1" thick. The plaque with the flower has bowed somewhat, as shown in the photo below. The watermelon plaque is still perfectly straight. Each has a sawtooth hanger attached on the back.
These will brighten up any decor, and would be especially cheerful in a child's room, bath or kitchen.
