Widely hailed for its performances, especially Bob Hoskins as the head of a gang, "The Long Good Friday" is a British gangster flick that stands as one of the best ever made. Hoskins plays Harold Shand, a crime boss who has everything he wants in life. But just as he's about to close a lucrative deal, some bombs go off all around him--literally. Who wants him dead? He's going to find out and make sure he gets to them before they get to him.
The case is in very good shape and ditto that for the tape, especially for a former rental. This underrated and underseen film has twice been released to DVD (once by Anchor Bay and once by Criterion), and both of those versions have since gone out of print. Don't pay inflated prices to get your hands on this masterpiece! Just dust off your VCR, grab this, and you're set!
