Two books by legendary author (I may be hyping him up a bit) Chaim Potok, available for one low-ass price! "In the Beginning" traces a young man as he fights to define his own life, which sharply contrasts with the wants of his controlling father...
In "The Book of Lights", Potok follows two friends who seek refuge in two completely different things. One finds solace by studying the Kabbalah, the Jewish book of mysticism and visions, while his friend finds it in the Atom bomb, which his father helped to create. Which one will turn out to be right?
Both copies are "acceptable", with strong wear to the cover and the corners/tops of some individual pages. Strong yellowing throughout both, as well. No other markings, however, and none of the damage extends to the text portions, making these readable for those just looking for a legible copy.
Two Jew-approved books for one low blow-out price!
